CoP Praises Citizens’ Behaviour For Julien Alfred Homecoming

Acting Commissioner of Police (CoP) Verne Garde has expressed his immense gratitude to the public for their exemplary behavior and cooperation during Julien Alfred’s homecoming celebrations.
Alfred returned to Saint Lucia on September 24, marking the beginning of a week filled with festivities in her honor.
Garde praised members of the public for their participation.
“It has been a very exciting week, especially since we had several mass crowd events that have culminated in a very good result. I want to say thank you to the public,” he said.
Additionally, the commissioner acknowledged the hard work and dedication of police officers, commending them for “putting their best foot forward” to ensure a safe and secure environment throughout the incident-free celebrations.
The police also received praise from Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ernest Hilaire.
He declared that officers found the right balance between protecting Julien Alfred and ensuring people got access to her.
