(The Dallas Examiner) – To celebrate its diverse culture and fan base, the National Football League observed National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.As part of annual observance, all 32 NFL football clubs participated in the Latino Youth Honors Awards, which recognizes a male or female high school senior football player – flag and tackle – who are in good academic standing with at least a 3.0 GPA and who show commitment to their community through volunteer service.Locally, the Dallas Cowboys selected Molina High School varsity quarterback Adan Ochoa as their nominee for the NFL Latino Youth Honors Awards in a surprise visit to the school in September.Related Stories
