Dallas Southern Pride Celebrates Juneteenth Unity & Encourages Self-Love Through Testing

Dallas Southern Pride (DSP) tapped up its celebration of Juneteenth Unity weekend on June 17th, 2024, drawing thousands to the Big D for what has become known as one of the most eventful Pride and Juneteenth celebrations across the country. The annual event honors a rich history and contributions of Black LGBTQ+ individuals in the city. This year’s DSP, led by president Ahmad Goree, offered a variety of events, fostering community, celebrating diversity, and addressing social issues. The weekend kicked off with a vibrant ball and happy hour, showcasing the energy and pride of the Black LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the weekend, attendees enjoyed social gatherings, brunches, pool parties, and entertainment events, one of which featured U.S. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett.& Dallas Southern Pride not only celebrates the present but also honors the past.
