(Special to The Dallas Examiner) – In March, Dallas Water Utilities implemented DallasGo, the new online payment platform. During the transition, water service interruptions and late fees were not applied, and customers could make payments using the new online payment platform or the other payment options available. Currently, 26% of DWU customers have past due balances of more than 60 days. The average past due balance is $127.
However, starting Sept. 18, customer accounts that are past due and do not have a payment plan in place will be subject to disconnection and late fees for non-payment.
