A Florida couple finds themselves in custody following their alleged assault on a group of teenagers riding e-bikes, with one boy reportedly struck by their vehicle.
Todd Norwood, 45, and his 46-year-old wife, Angelique Norwood, were arrested after the October 18 incident in Oconee, Florida.
Witness testimony detailed that as the teens rode their bikes, a red BMW abruptly cut them off. Angelique reportedly shouted aggressive remarks from the passenger seat before exiting the vehicle and approaching the minors provocatively.
A 13-year-old boy recounted that while crossing a street, Todd Norwood hit him with the BMW but fled afterward. Fortunately, he managed to escape injury, though his e-bike was irreparably damaged.
The Norwoods attempted to shift blame, claiming the children acted recklessly. Todd faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, while Angelique is charged with battery. Police noted damage to the BMW, coinciding with the alleged incident.
