A man previously pardoned by President Donald Trump on his first day back in office was apprehended on May 9 for allegedly burglarizing a residence in Henrico, Virginia. Zachary Jordan Alam, 33, from Centreville, reportedly entered through a back entrance, taking several items before being confronted by residents. Police soon captured him in a nearby neighborhood. Alam had been sentenced to eight years for violent actions during the January 6 Capitol riot, where he was described as one of the most aggressive participants. U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich criticized his behavior, deeming it unpatriotic. Alam now faces charges of residential breaking and entering and vandalism, with a preliminary hearing set for late June.
