Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and his family ushered in the New Year while vacationing in Saint Lucia. Skerrit’s wife, Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, shared photos of their Saint Lucia vacation on Facebook. Mrs. Poponne-Skerrit is a member of the House of Assembly for the Roseau Central constituency. She is also the Housing and Urban Development Minister. “We had an absolutely fabulous time celebrating the New Year in our sister island, St. Lucia, with Prime Minister Right Honorable Philip J. Pierre. Thank you for the wonderful memories,” she wrote. In one of the Facebook photos, Pierre is with the Skerrit family. The post attracted several favourable comments. Prime Minister Skerrit was in Saint Lucia in October 2022 to address the delegates conference of the ruling Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP).
