“The Waiting Game” is set to premiere at Newfields during the Heartland International Film Festival on Oct. 18. The story promises to explore themes of patience, resilience and emotional tension as the characters find themselves in situations that test their limits. The film will also put moviegoers in the shoes of those awaiting the ABA-NBA merger of 1976. The screening will take place at 6:15 p.m., offering attendees a chance to experience the drama at Newfields.
