Two men have been charged in connection with the New Year’s Day bust at Cas En Bas, Gros Islet that netted a large quantity of cocaine, a gun and ammunition. Troyson Isidore and Kendy Isidore were remanded to prison on charges of possession of controlled drugs, possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply, possession of a firearm, and possession of ammunition, when they appeared before the First District Court on Monday. Troyson was separately charged with assault with a firearm in relation to another investigation, according to a statement issued by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) on Wednesday. He was granted $3 000 bail on that charge but remains on remand at the Bordelias Correctional Facility on the other charges. The two were arrested on January 1 when officers from the Criminal Investigations Department in Gros Islet executed a search warrant at a property in Cas En Bas, after receiving a report of an assault. Police also seized a 9mm pistol, 22 rounds of 9mm ammunition, one 5.56mm round of ammunition, and 289 packages of cocaine.
