Interestingly, one would expect the President of the United States to regard this as crucial, particularly given the prevalence of memory issues nationwide. Yet, Donald Trump seems to have entirely forgotten the tenets of the Constitution. Strikingly, rather than supporting this pivotal Harvard study, he has pushed against the institution’s efforts in cancer and Alzheimer’s research—a shocking act of negligence. This past week, we marked the 60th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, reflecting on the stark contrasts with current leadership, thus highlighting our need to reclaim agency and power through electoral participation in 2026.
