Powered by People has significantly contributed financially to Texas Democrats who protested against a proposed Republican congressional map believed to favor GOP candidates in upcoming elections.O’Rourke’s group has already provided $1 million to support these Democrats, who recently returned after a two-week absence that hindered legislative operations in the Texas House. Paxton previously asserted a court injunction against O’Rourke, claiming he violated fundraising restrictions, which O’Rourke’s legal team contests. The court’s order lasts for two weeks, aiming to avert potential harm while awaiting further proceedings.
