The festival will be a star-studded affair that takes place in New Orleans from July 4th – 7th, featuring an impressive lineup of performances and events that honor its rich history and cultural significance. Headlining this year’s festival are iconic artists such as the award-winning artist Usher, who will deliver a special one-night-only performance celebrating the 20th Anniversary of his album “Confessions,” and the legendary and iconic Janet Jackson, who will return to the festival stage for another stellar performance. Joining them is festival staple Charlie Wilson, known for his soulful hits and dynamic stage presence, and a host of other talented musicians including award winning singer-songwriter Victoria Monét and the New Orleans-based global sensation Tank and the Bangas. In addition to the evening concert series at Caesar’s Superdome, the festival will include various daytime events, such as the ESSENCE Film Festival, ESSENCE Eats, and the Beautycon Stage, ensuring a comprehensive celebration of Black culture and community.
