Faith Evans, the widow of legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G., is embroiled in a lawsuit filed in a Delaware court, alleging that she withheld profits from a significant catalog agreement. The lawsuit, initiated by music executive Wayne Barrow, who is the executor of Biggie's late mother, Voletta Wallace’s estate, brings to light serious claims. Before her death in February 2024, Voletta managed an LLC responsible for overseeing her son’s intellectual property and business interests. She reportedly brokered a $100 million deal with Primary Wave, involving the sale of half of the catalog and certain likeness rights.Despite being a co-manager, Barrow managed the LLC’s operations during Voletta's lifetime. After her passing, Evans assumed sole management. According to a petition unsealed on July 8, Barrow alleges that Evans has distributed parts of the sale proceeds selectively, withholding the amount owed to the Voletta Wallace Trust, which he administers. He seeks a court order compelling Evans to allocate the trust’s share and aims to remove her as manager, citing alleged wrongdoing and a lack of transparency. The case is listed as Barrow v. Evans, Del. Ch., No. 2025-0760.
