Fire Service Issues Warning on Unauthorised Use of Insignia

The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) has issued a public reminder that the use of its insignia is strictly regulated, and must not be used for any purpose without the written permission of the Chief Fire Officer. Noting that the SLFS insignia represents the organisation’s commitment to public safety, professionalism, and integrity, Chief Fire Officer Ditney Downes said that unauthorised use of the insignia could result in misunderstandings, misrepresentation, and a potential erosion of public trust in the service. “We urge all individuals and organisations to respect this policy and adhere to the proper processes for authorisation and use of the Saint Lucia Fire Service insignia. Any unauthorised use will be subject to review and the necessary action taken,” Downes said in a press release on Monday.
