This past year probably did not go as expected for many of us, but one of the beautiful things about a new year is that it offers a reminder to start afresh with prayer.Lord, we are saddled with broken relationships with our parents, siblings, spouses, friends and family members because we have not been forgiving. In Matthew 18:21-22, Peter asks, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus replies, “I tell you, not seven times, but 77.” Lord, we’ve not even begun to forgive again and again a few times.Father, please forgive us when we allow anger and bitterness to fill our hearts because we refuse to forgive someone who has hurt us. Teach us to lay down our rights, weapons and self-righteous positions and forgive as You have forgiven us.And forgive us when we don’t thank You enough for who You are, for all You do and for all You’ve given us.We thank You for Your incredible power and work in our lives, for Your goodness and blessings over us, for bringing hope through even the most challenging times, for getting us ready for whatever You want...
