Injured Memphis Firefighter Sparks Inspiring Service Movement After Career Change

Renowned for his courageous efforts as a Memphis firefighter, Adrian Davis has transformed personal hardship into a catalyst for community change. Awarded the prestigious 2022 Firefighter of the Year, he founded Community Service Leaders of America (CSLA) post-injury, focusing on aiding underserved groups in Memphis. CSLA has delivered meals to countless unhoused individuals, organized events featuring gourmet dining, live music, and offered free health screenings. Moreover, it sponsored 170 children for a joyous Halloween night with the Memphis Grizzlies. Nominated for the 2024 Volunteer Memphis Volunteer of the Year, Davis continues to innovate programs for youth empowerment and community needs. CSLA will host a Cinco de Mayo event on May 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Fat Charlie’s Speakeasy, celebrating culture while raising funds for its initiatives.
