The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard has confirmed the death of four people after a plane heading to Saint Lucia from Bequia crashed. Coast Guard Commander Deon Henry told St. Lucia Times that at 12:08 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024, the Coast Guard received a report that a plane had crashed into the sea off Bequia. “The plane left Bequia for Saint Lucia with four persons on board,” Henry said. He said a Vincentian piloted the light aircraft with three American nationals, a father and two young daughters, on board. Henry said the weather was good. Commander Henry disclosed that the Coast Guard and Bequia residents recovered the bodies. According to reports, the plane was going to Saint Lucia to take the three Americans to catch another flight. They had been vacationing in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. There are no further details at present.
