For the most part, Syracuse Orange football’s inaugural season under head coach Fran Brown has gone well. However, Brown disclosed his somewhat unconventional post-loss ritual during a press conference on Monday, indicating that he takes the losses more seriously than any coach in the nation.
With former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord leading the Orange, Brown and the team were viewed as a dark horse in the ACC going into the season. But after losing two of their previous three ACC games, they might not have a chance to contend for a conference title.
After the team’s Week 11 loss to Boston College, Brown spoke to reporters on Monday, stating that he hadn’t had a shower until Monday morning because he feels he “doesn’t deserve the soap” following a defeat.
