Complimentary Thanksgiving Feasts: Enjoy a Holiday Meal on the House!

The 2025 SMU Football and Men's Basketball Turkey Giveaway is scheduled for November 26 at 1 p.m., taking place at South Oak Cliff High School, with entry via Overton Road. Additionally, OurCalling, a nonprofit organization committed to assisting unsheltered individuals in Dallas County, is set to host a Thanksgiving celebration for over 500 clients experiencing homelessness. Supported by around 200 dedicated volunteers, the event will offer a warm, respectful holiday meal alongside opportunities for community engagement and connection during a season often marked by loneliness. “Every person who comes through our doors is cherished and deserving of love. Thanksgiving evokes a desire for family and the comforts of home,” stated Pastor Wayne Walker, CEO of OurCalling. The meals will be served on November 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1702 S. Cesar Chavez Blvd. Meanwhile, Dream Center Dallas will also provide complimentary Thanksgiving meals for families and individuals at 1900 S. Ewing Ave. on November 26 at 1 p.m., fostering connection and hope within the community.
