Law enforcement officials confirmed that the shooter, a 20-year-old son of a Leon County sheriff’s deputy, used his mother's gun to carry out the attack. The suspect was shot during the rampage and taken to a local hospital. The surviving victims were reported to be in fair condition.The shooting began around noon, and by 3:30 p.m., FSU officials announced that the threat had been neutralized, though multiple buildings on campus were still active crime scenes.
