On Tuesday (August 27), Bridges died in Phoenix at the home of her son, Diff’rent Strokes star Todd Bridges. She was reportedly in hospice care at Todd’s home when she died. Todd confirmed his mother’s death in multiple tribute posts on Instagram. “1941 – 2024 Betty Bridges,” the Diff’rent Strokes star captioned a photo of Betty. Lenny Kravitz and Yvette Nicole Brown were among the celebrities who shared their condolences. “Rest in power Queen,” Kravitz commented on Todd’s post. “Oh Todd, I’m so sorry for your loss! ❤️
