Nathaniel Mueller, a 23-year-old Black man from Missouri, vanished mysteriously in December 2024. His abandoned vehicle was discovered near a wooded area in northeastern Missouri, with the keys left in the ignition alongside his wallet and clothing.Despite extensive searches by law enforcement lasting several days, the local sheriff reported that Mueller's body was found two months later in a pond near his grandmother's property, approximately 1.5 miles away from the vehicle's location.Ty Bounds, a former Bowling Green Police Chief, has accused Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte of foul play regarding Mueller's death. Korte asserts that no evidence of foul play exists, while an autopsy report is still pending nine months after the body was found.Bounds alleges that Korte, along with another deputy, participated in a cover-up and claims the deputy had a close relationship with a robbery suspect connected to Mueller's case. “Disgust” was how Bounds described his feelings upon uncovering potential wrongdoing within law enforcement.
