Monthly Enchantment: Receiving a Dozen Exquisite Roses at My Office for Nearly a Year

In the fall of 2003, Kenny and Cynthia met at Greater Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church in East Lake. While Kenny had grown up in this community, Cynthia had been an active member for over two decades. They were familiar but had been married to others. After Kenny’s divorce, he learned from his sister Sandra that Cynthia was also single. “I expressed to her that Cynthia was the only woman I’d consider,” Kenny shared. After some coaxing, he approached Cynthia for her number. Initially hesitant, Cynthia eventually agreed, sensing divine timing. Their first date at Ruby Tuesday was a success, leading Cynthia to reconsider relationships. Over time, their bond deepened, particularly as Kenny won over Cynthia’s daughters. In December 2004, with the girls' help, Kenny proposed at Cynthia's home. They wed in 2005, emphasizing faith as essential to their union. Today, the Perrys serve at Love City Church, celebrating a blended family of five children and nine grandchildren.
