Don Abram, Executive Director of Pride in the Pews, recently delivered the Call to Care at the ReViiVal to Care event in Chicago, presented by ViiV Healthcare. This initiative aims to redefine HIV care through amalgamating faith, healing, and public health by connecting deeply with the Black and LGBTQ+ communities. ViiV Healthcare stands alone as a pharmaceutical entity dedicated entirely to HIV, striving to dismantle disparities in care. Head of U.S. External Affairs, Randevyn Piérre, emphasized a commitment to supporting individuals living with HIV through culturally relevant programs. The ReViiVal to Care event underscored the intersection of spirituality and health, as highlighted by research linking the faith of Black gay and bisexual men to health outcomes. Featuring personal testimonies, the gathering aimed to inspire and normalize living with HIV. Following this Chicago initiative, Atlanta will host ReViiVal to Care on August 31, continuing ViiV's mission of comprehensive support and care for all communities impacted by HIV.
