Remembering Joycelyn Nicole Wilson: A Legacy of Inspiration (1975-2025)

Joycelyn Wilson, a dedicated mathematics instructor at Spelman College since 2007, tragically passed away on February 9 in Lake Oconee, Georgia. Her fiancé, Gary Jones, was found dead weeks later. Wilson, 49, championed women of color in mathematics and held degrees from Clark Atlanta and the University of Maryland.
