Explosive New Allegations Rock Former Girls' Basketball Coach Caught on Viral Video Yanking Player's Hair

A former high school girls' basketball coach has become embroiled in a lawsuit stemming from an incident captured on camera where he yanked a player's ponytail. This controversy involves ex-Northville player Hailey Monroe, who is now suing 81-year-old Jim Zullo, claiming he acted in a dangerously aggressive manner following a New York state championship game loss in March.The viral footage shows Zullo approaching Monroe and forcefully pulling her hair, causing her head to snap back. Following the altercation, an emotional Monroe distanced herself from Zullo, who raised his voice at her, prompting a teammate to intervene and address his behavior.Monroe's lawsuit indicates that Zullo has a "long history of physical and psychological abuse" towards students. She asserts that she has endured “various permanent physical and mental injuries” and is seeking damages. The Northville Central School District is also implicated, as officials reportedly knew of Zullo’s aggressive tendencies. Following the incident, Zullo was dismissed from his coaching position.
