Upcoming Enforcement on Unconventional License Plates

Minister of Infrastructure, Ports, Transport, and Urban Renewal, Stephenson King, emphasizes the ongoing challenges unregulated license plates pose for law enforcement. “Various fonts, sizes, and colors violate legal and international standards,” he stressed during the recent parliamentary session. Echoing his sentiments, Kingson Jean of the National Association of Driving Schools raised concerns about the visibility of non-standard plates, stressing their illegibility can obstruct identification during emergencies. King aims to revisit this issue with the Cabinet to seek resolution and bolster compliance measures.
