Jim Banks wins U.S. Senate race in Indiana 

Republican Jim Banks won Indiana’s U.S.& Senate race, defeating Democratic opponent Valerie McCray on Nov. 5.The Associated Press called the race only a couple of hours after the Indiana polls closed at 6 p.m. At the time of this writing, 90% of polling places have reported their results, with Banks leading over McCray& 59.1% to 38.3% of the total vote.Banks shared sentiments following the early, decisive lead.“I am grateful for the support of my family and support from Hoosiers I’ve had across the state,” Banks said. “I owe this victory to all who contributed to it.” Libertarian candidate Andrew Horning garnered 2.6%, approximately 69,000 votes.
