Instead, he’s voicing his support for a police officer dismissed after a physical encounter with a player during the Texas A&M game. Upon seeing the viral video of the incident, Manziel remarked, “That’s my kind of energy.” The altercation occurred when a group of South Carolina players celebrated a touchdown by heading down a tunnel. As they returned, an officer made contact with one player and proceeded to shove him before directing heated words at another. In light of this event, the A&M Police Department promptly relieved the officer from his duties. During an appearance on the ‘Nightcap’ podcast with Shannon Sharpe and Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson, Manziel expressed empathy toward the officer's frustration, stating, “Around here, we protect this house.” He also acknowledged Nyck Harbor’s reaction, admitting he would have done the same if in the player’s position.
