Staff Report Sacramento County’s Behavioral Health Youth Advisory Board (BHYAB) is looking for new youth members ages 14-24. Become a youth board member to represent youth voices for District 1, ran by District 1 County Supervisor, Phil Serna. By joining the board, you will: Suggest ideas to help make a difference within your community for youth behavioral health; Meet as a board twice a month at Wind Youth Services to discuss how to create change; and earn a $1,500 annual stipend. What is the BHYAB? The Behavioral Health Youth Advisory Board is a governing body that offers youth perspective on mental health and substance misuse goals and objectives for Sacramento County. What is the commitment? Board members, ages 14-24, are expected to participate 6-8 hours a month. Board members are appointed to a two-year term. Do I need any experience? No, all they ask is that you are passionate about mental health or substance misuse and they will teach you along the way. What would I be doing?
