Join Us This Weekend in Parkland for Safe Medication Disposal!

Expired, unused, and unwanted medications in our homes can lead to dire consequences if mishandled. To mitigate risks associated with improper disposal, Parkland Health and the Dallas County Hospital District Police Department will sponsor the 27th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Simmons Ambulatory Surgery Center, 4900 Harry Hines Blvd, this public event allows community members to surrender medications to law enforcement without inquiry. Captain Steve Sedlak emphasizes this twice-yearly initiative promotes safe disposal of pharmaceuticals.
