Jose Chameleone has taken legal action against journalist and TikToker Janie Namukasa for allegedly spreading false and defamatory claims about him. The singer is demanding an official apology and compensation of UGX 100 million within five days. The controversy began when Janie Namukasa, through a TikTok video, claimed that Chameleone had been imprisoned in the United States after physically assaulting his caretaker, Juliet Zawedde. According to Janie, the incident allegedly occurred after Zawedde found Chameleone talking on the phone with other women. Despite the backlash, Janie remained firm on her allegations, stating that she “stands by what she said” and challenging Chameleone to refute her claims by going live on TikTok.
