Juveniles Held By Police After Phone Snatching Incident In Castries

Police arrested two juvenile males Sunday in connection with a phone snatching incident at Vigie, Castries. Details regarding the ages of the two juveniles were not available. However, the police held them after a tourist was relieved of a mobile telephone, which was later recovered. A social media video shows two youngsters on the ground in the presence of a police officer in uniform and a civilian. In Castries last week, a City Police officer shot a man suspected of stealing from a tourist after the suspect allegedly resisted arrest and went for the officer’s firearm.
