For decades, the land we call home has been turned into toxic dumping grounds, and the air we breathe has been poisoned, all in the name of maximizing profit for greedy corporations. Rather than an act of negligence—it has been an intentional act of violence against Black communities. This Monday, the KC Reparations Coalition is calling on Black folks from across the city to join a crucial discussion on environmental/climate justice. Led by special guest, Dr. Stephen Pinkney, the discussion will cover how Black communities have been strategically targeted for toxic waste dumps, incinerators, and landfills, leading to an epidemic of health crises among our people.
