Lawyer Who Represented Charleston Church Shooting Victims Caught Shouting Racial Slurs in Shirtless Arrest Video

William “Mullins” McLeod, a notable attorney in South Carolina and current gubernatorial candidate, was recently captured on police dashcam footage during a tumultuous arrest in May, where he shouted racial slurs and disparaged political opponents. The footage depicts McLeod, 53, shirtless and handcuffed, incoherently yelling while being transported to jail. On May 14, Charleston police discovered him seated on a sidewalk in only his underwear and shoes, yelling loudly, leading to his detention on disorderly conduct charges.During the footage, McLeod shunned revealing his name to officers, opting for identities like “human” or “Superman.” He yelled “McLeod for governor!” while hurling expletives at political figures, including current Governor Henry McMaster and former Governors Nikki Haley and Barack Obama.
