Leucaena, Jn Panel Houses Triumph at Laborie Boys and Girls Sports Meet

Talent and skill were on full display on Monday as Laborie Girls’ and Laborie Boys’ Primary Schools hosted a joint sports meet at the Laborie Playing Field. Initially scheduled for the previous week but postponed due to rain, the event received strong support from the community, which turned out in full force to cheer on the next generation of athletes.
At the end of the day’s activities, Leucaena House (Yellow House) claimed victory for the Laborie Boys, while Jn Panel House (Red House) emerged as champions in the girls’ competition.
Junelle Simeon, Physical Education teacher at Laborie Boys’ Primary School, highlighted the meet as a platform for uncovering the students’ natural abilities.
“I must say, these events reveal that we have a lot of talented athletes. Some children have hidden abilities that are not always easily recognized,” she said.
Fernelle Joseph, a Physical Education teacher at Laborie Girls’ Primary School, emphasized that the impressive performances on the track were a result of dedicated preparation.
