Lil Reese Gets 5-Year Prison Sentence For Assaulting Family Member

Lil Reese has been sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of assaulting a family member.
Newly-surfaced police records show that the Chicago rapper (real name Tavares Taylor) was given the sentence October 16 in Harris County, Texas.

His projected release date is currently February 6, 2029, but he will become eligible for parole in August 2026.
The conviction, listed as aggravated assault of a family member, relates to an incident that occured on March 9, 2022, police records show.
While details of the attack are unclear, it was reported at the time that Reese was arrested almost two months later in May of that year and held on a $60,000 bond.
The 31-year-old has faced a number of legal troubles since then, most recently getting arrested this past September for allegedly punching and strangling his ex-girlfriend at a strip club in Houston.

Authorities say that Reese attempted to kiss the woman numerous times at around 6:30 a.m. one morning as he was entering the club and she was leaving.
When she rejected his advances, Reese allegedly then became violent, punching her in the face and squeezing his hands...
