By OBSERVER NewsroomThe 39th Annual Board Installation & Awards Fundraiser Gala, hosted by the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce, was a night of celebration, recognition, and transformation. ​ Held on December 12, 2024, at the Hilton Arden West in Sacramento, the evening began with arrivals and networking, followed by a warm welcome from Chamber CEO Azizza Davis Goines and host Chris Thomas, anchor at ABC 10.The gala honored outstanding leaders and organizations within the community through various awards. ​& Lauren Hammond, the first Black woman elected to the Sacramento City Council, was posthumously awarded the Trailblazer of the Year for her groundbreaking contributions and lasting impact on the city.
