Local Jack and Jill Chapter donates books to Kimberley Park Elementary

Last month the Winston-Salem Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. donated 300 books to Kimberley Park Elementary School.   Thanks to a partnership with Bookmarks, students grade K-2 received a signed copy of “All the Greatness in You” by author Tameka Fryer Brown and students grade 3-5 received copies of “The Last Day of Summer” by Lamar Giles.   The Winston-Salem Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., is a nonprofit family organization with mothers holding membership. The mission of the Winston-Salem chapter is to participate in cultural, educational, social and spiritual programming that will strengthen the family unit; to be involved in community outreach; and to increase participation on a regional and national level.   The Winston-Salem chapter is distinguished as a Five Star chapter, which means they have a record of providing the best environment for members and families. The chapter was charted at the National Jack and Jill Convention in 1951. Jack and Jill of America, Inc. boasts over 247 chapters nationwide, representing over 40,000 family members.
