Local Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity to Host Free Expungement Fair

Second chances are often elusive for those with a history of incarceration.
But the Redford Graduate Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated and the Ann Arbor Michigan Graduate Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity want to be a beacon of hope in offering a path to a brighter future for local Detroiters in need.
To that end, in partnership with Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc., the sorority is hosting a free expungement fair on May 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For the past six years, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has profoundly impacted over 100,000 individuals through its “Get Engaged” program. However, the organization desires to shift the narrative for those facing legal concerns and enable them to break free from the stigma of their past, which inspired the expungement fair.
Phina Ross, the President of the Upsilon Theta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta, shared, “The event holds great significance in offering a fresh start to those burdened by their past and fostering greater opportunities in the community.”.
