Marian University’s vice president, Chris Creighton, received the Sagamore of Wabash Award, the highest honor given by the governor.The Sagamore of Wabash recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Indiana’s heritage. Creighton was recognized for his distinguished service to the state through previous and current roles.Prior to his role at Marian University, Creighton served as the chief of staff for the Indiana Department of Transportation and legislative director for Gov. Eric Holcomb.In his current role, Creighton drives strategic initiatives at Marian University, including the development of the Riverside Education Innovation District (REID). REID aims to advance the near northwest area through investment and educational attainment. Creighton also assists in government matters and maintains relationships with business partners and developers.
