As part of Martin University’s Homecoming Week festivities, the institution is set to host a special event: the First Lady’s Tea.The event takes place at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 17 The gathering, themed “Trailblazers in Power: Voices of Victory Across Generations,” will take place at the Hotel Carmichael in Carmel. It is also open to the public.The First Lady’s Tea will feature a panel discussion with prominent leaders in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), including Senior Vice President of DEI for Pacers Sports & Entertainment Tracy Ellis-Ward, President and CEO of Optimist Business Solutions Joy Mason and Chief Operating Officer of USA Track & Field Renee Washington.This year’s First Lady’s Tea is hosted by First Lady of Martin University Tosha Huddleston, who emphasized the significance of the panel’s discussion. President of Martin University Sean L.
