By Rashad Miller The Dallas Mavericks are headed to the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three seasons after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in six games of the seven game series. The 2024 Coach of the Year, Mark Daigneault applauded the Mavs for how they battled against the number one seeded Thunder. “Coach [Jason] Kidd and his staff, I thought they did a great job. [Their] players did a great job. With all the respect in the world for how they competed in the series. I thought they were the better team over the course of the series.”  Coach Daigneault concluded by saying he felt that he “thought [the game] could have gone either way… Obviously, they were one-point better”. The Mavs rallied back from a 16-point deficit at the first half to complete a 17-point comeback to defeat the Thunder, 117-116. This was the first time in Maverick’s playoff history that the franchise came back from a 16 plus deficit to win a game.
