Michigan Beats Alabama 27-20 in Rose Bowl to Advance to National Championship Game

Thornton Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines snapped a five-game losing streak in bowl games and are one game closer to accomplishing their goal of winning a national championship. It took overtime, but the Wolverines came out on top over the Alabama Crimson Tide on Monday afternoon, Jan. 1, 27-20.  Michigan is now 14-0 on the season for the first time in school history. The Michigan defense once again stood strong sacking Alabama Quarterback Jalen Milrose five times in the first half alone. The Wolverines’ Braiden McGregor had two of those sacks to lead the team.  Junior Colson led all players in the game with 10 tackles as Michigan held Milrose and Alabama to just 116 total passing yards.  Milrose, who has the ability to run the ball, ran for 49 yards in the game but was stopped short of the goal line in overtime by the Michigan Defense on 4th and goal at the Michigan three yard line. That stance gave the Wolverines the victory.
