Born in Delcer, Choiseul, on that auspicious day in 1923, Ms. Eugene stands as a living testament to a century of resilience, love, and the enduring spirit of the people of Saint Lucia. Virgilius Margaret Eugene is the lone survivor among her siblings and has weathered the passage of time with grace and fortitude. Several years ago, she relocated to Castries, where she found solace in the company of her son and daughter in La Clery. However, life’s inevitable twists unfolded, and following the passing of her son, Ms. Eugene found herself embraced by the compassionate care of the good sisters at Faux A Chaux, Castries, where she has resided for the past 13 years.
