MLB Spectator Injured After Plummeting from PNC Park Outfield Wall

The unsettling event prompted Pirates manager Derek Shelton to encourage “everyone to keep him in their prayers.” During the seventh inning of the Pirates-Cubs clash at PNC Park, a fan suffered serious injuries after plummeting from the outfield wall, approximately 20 feet to the warning track. The individual appeared to tumble through the air before crashing down. Medical personnel promptly attended to him, strapping him to a stretcher for transport to a nearby hospital. Though the game resumed, the somber atmosphere overshadowed the Pirates’ eventual 4-3 victory.
