Monique Guillory Will Be the Next Provost at Dillard University in New Orleans

Monique Guillory was appointed provost and chief academic and enrollment officer at Dillard University in New Orleans, effective April 1, 2024. Most recently, she has been chief of staff and senior vice president for the University of the District of Columbia. She previously worked at Morehouse School of Medicine as the chief of staff and chief administrative officer for the Office of the President and Dean. She has also been among the executive leadership team at Jackson State University in Mississippi, Xavier University of Louisiana, the Southern University System in Louisiana, and the University of the Virgin Islands. She is the co-editor of Soul: Black Power, Politics and Pleasure (New York University Press, 1997). “I am so honored to be joining the Dillard leadership team and helping to realize the bold vision President Ford has articulated for Dillard’s future,” Dr. Guillory said. “I believe my extensive professional journey has prepared me for this opportunity.
