Motorcyclist, BCF Officers, And Inmates Involved In Praslin Crash

A motorcyclist and two Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) officers sustained injuries as a result of a collision at Praslin involving the rider and a BCF vehicle which overturned. Three inmates who were in the BCF vehicle were not injured. According to information obtained by St. Lucia Times, the BCF vehicle was transporting the prisoners for a routine medical check. Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) emergency personnel from the Micoud Fire Station rushed to the scene at about 11:55 a.m. after learning of the collision. SLFS spokeswoman Stacy Joseph said the responders found the motorcyclist had sustained multiple injuries and was unconscious. Joseph told St. Lucia Times the emergency responders transported him to a medical facility in an unstable condition. The two BCF officers also received transportation to a medical facility and were in stable condition, while the three inmates declined medical attention, asserting that they were fine.
