Nas To Produce ‘Beat Street’ Musical

Nas has joined the team of creatives working to bring Beat Street to Broadway. Working with Arthur Baker, who was a co-producer of the original film, the Queensbridge legend will work as producer and help expand the project’s original soundtrack.
“Beat Street wasn’t just a film – it spread the revolution of hip-hop culture throughout the country and the world. It left an indelible mark, inspiring generations of young artists and creating new hip-hop fans alike,” Nas said.

Released 40 years ago, Beat Street is one of the first feature films to highlight Hip-Hop’s rich culture.
