News: Elements Street Art Festival

ELEMENTS: Street Art Festival is set to bring the finest street and graffiti artists to Newcastle’s vibrant Ouseburn area from 27th to 28th July. Spearheaded by local artist Mark One87 with support from Building Culture CIC and Project North East (PNE), the festival is set to bring together creativity and community and provide a platform for local artists, community members, freelancers, and small businesses, as well as build upon the area’s rich history of creativity by injecting fresh activity, pulling together the region’s renowned street art and graffiti scenes.  To make this ambitious project happen ELEMENTS: Street Art Festival is calling on the support of the community through an innovative crowdfunding platform, Spacehive, whereby projects supported by the community get matched to funders to reach crowdfunding goals faster.  Mark explains “That means if enough people support the project we are more likely to get a significant contribution to the total, so please pledge as little as £2 to show that you’d like to see the festival take place and help us get matched to a funder”  Additionally, ELEMENTS offers sponsorship opportunities for businesses who’d like to support the event.
